This is an ideal choice for a teether for a child. All natural and very versatile. Easy for small hands to grasp and play with.
Now.. if only there were an easy way to convince my girl to actually use it. ;) We've been blessed so far with very few teething woes. She's now 15 months old with two teeth on the bottom and four on top. They've really hardly bugged her, beyond maybe a low fever for a few nights when the first two pushed their way out. I suppose this is one of those products you can feel good about buying ... and even better that you do not really need. Do not even really need it, she made time to chew on the tree, and sometimes carries it around with her when she plays.

I bought this for my twin daughters' first birthday, and they absolutely love it, even now at 16 months. It holds up well to both playing on it at the same time...tossing it on the floor, and yes, even standing on it. Needless to say, it's very durable. The programs are great as well. The first level, that just pops up random animations whenever a key is pressed is always fun, and the images are so cute. Plus, they love the music!!! The second level, is probably the weakest, and not as engaging as the other two, but it can still help teach numbers, letters, and shapes. But, the third level is my favorite. It's almost a story-like atmosphere, where the action follows your child's typing, and then the program asks your child to input another specific key to make something else happen. It's pretty fun. My only complaints would be that I wish the keyboard actually attached to your keyboard instead of just sitting over top of it, and I wish it had an auto-off feature to close program after a period of inactivity. Now he asks if you're ready to leave after a few minutes of inactivity, and the music and sound effects in the background when you try to change diapers or put down to sleep children get a little older and then for some time.

There's a discrepancy in the size that I did not notice. Under product dimensions it says: 18x10x3. This is the part that I saw. However, under Product Features it says "8 inch pink pig," and "measures 8 inches long." This part I did not see. I was expecting a much larger stuffed animal and was very disappointed when I received this tiny one. Basically, this is just one of those Beanie Baby stuffed animals. I took out a tape measure and the actual dimensions are more like 7x3x4. Just make sure, you know, this is NOT to order 18x10. Otherwise, the Beanie Baby is a very good and very cute.

First the downsides:
1) the ball is very heavy. It always seems like it's prone to cause injuries due to its heft (but this has never been an actual problem).
2) I don't really think this does anything to encourage crawling. My crawling son ignores it. His sitting twin is the one who loves it (but never tries to crawl after it)
3) the voice is pretty annoying (par for the course with this type of toy).
That said, this is still a definite keeper at my house.
For whatever reason, one of my sons (9 months old currently) has really taken to it, since around 6 or 7 months (when he started sitting). He doesn't quite get how to press the buttons-- he just mashes the whole ball with his hands, slapping it until he gets the desired response. (But, hey, it works). He doesn't give a hoot about the times it tells you "number 3" or "mooooo" The only thing he cares about is hitting it over and over again until it plays a song (which comes up every 6th sound, or nearly so). Then from the rocks.

There are very few toys that are appropriate for children of all ages. "Take Along Tunes" is one of those toys - as a newborn our daughter was fascinated by the blinking lights, but now that she is 8 months she loves the music - and the fact the handle works for a teether. Our niece is 13 months and she loved the "Take Along Tunes" - it was the perfect size for her hand... and she literally likes to walk around with it in her hand!
Pros-
- Great for all (young ages)
- In two volumes
- Batteries last a long time
- Color flashing lights
- Handle makes decent teething ring
Final Verdict - For the price you can not go wrong with a "take Tunes" - recommended for parents and other children's services.

I searched several sights and saw that there were some selling this item for almost 0 and they weren't half as cute. The sock monkey I purchased was a steal at and it was very well made. I actually bought this aquarium for the second time because my husband ruined the first one trying to make it battery-less. My daughter has used this since the day we started putting her to sleep in her crib(3 months) and is now almost 2 years old. At a very early age she was able to push the button on the front with her hand or foot. The sound level can be adjusted to three different levels and the lights can be bright or dimmed. We tried several of the other Fisher Price soothers and the Baby Einstein aquarium and took them all back to the store and ordered this one. All the other play a series of different songs when turned on and this one will play whatever song you choose over and over. My daughter asks for specific songs/lullaby's going to sleep. The music plays for around 18 minutes and then quietly turns itself off. We never needed a mobile since this did everything we needed without having parts she could pull down. I suggest using rechargeable batteries because As soon as your child decides how to turn it on and off, it will use the battery faster.

I love this ball boasters, it makes a comfortable seat and a nice addition to our living room. It's big, about 78 "in diameter, according to my own measurements. Database nice addition, keeping the ball on the ground (although my husband managed to fall twice while trying to balance without the legs). I plan to use it for work and for breastfeeding. I highly recommend it!

I bought this for my baby when he was 6 months old. He didn't really show interest other than chewing on them until 11 months. He now tries to put the tops on and off himself. He can't twist the tops on or squirt them yet he is really developing some great fine motor skills practicing putting them together and taking them apart. He laughs the whole time and thinks he's super cool when he gets one together! They are by far the favorite toy in the bathtub. I have a 4 year old son who they also love. I agree that they are not the syringe vigorously as the other one says, the review, but you get a good 4 to bubble needs to be replenished, and it is still very fun. We love this product.
