This toy was bought for a 15 month old. He is not overly interested in it yet. Honestly older children went to play with it after it was opened. Sometimes the pirate gets stuck as it pops out of the box. Not sure why? So, I guess that takes away from the surprise for the child. I do like the look of the toy. It is cute and different than a clown jack in the box. This toy is not easy to find,especially around Christmas time. Ithoght the packaging was nice. On the outside of the box it made reference to the time the elves made and made to surrender, as was the North Pole. Very nice touch from the store.

I went searching for this item for my 15 year old daughter. Don't ask me why she wanted one but she did. I searched several sights and saw that there were some selling this item for almost 0 and they weren't half as cute. The sock monkey I purchased was a steal at and it was very well made. Needless to say, my daughter was very happy!
