I actually bought this aquarium for the second time because my husband ruined the first one trying to make it battery-less. My daughter has used this since the day we started putting her to sleep in her crib(3 months) and is now almost 2 years old. At a very early age she was able to push the button on the front with her hand or foot. The sound level can be adjusted to three different levels and the lights can be bright or dimmed. We tried several of the other Fisher Price soothers and the Baby Einstein aquarium and took them all back to the store and ordered this one. All the other play a series of different songs when turned on and this one will play whatever song you choose over and over. My daughter asks for specific songs/lullaby's going to sleep. The music plays for around 18 minutes and then quietly turns itself off. We never needed a mobile since this did everything we needed without having parts she could pull down. I suggest using rechargeable batteries because As soon as your child decides how to turn it on and off, it will use the battery faster.

Great product. My baby has this from about 2 months old and enjoys it. She used to giggle every time the chicken passed by. She also intentionally makes sounds to restart it when the music stops and squeals with delight. Great way to learn cause and effect. I love the downward-facing of the toys with their friendly faces that my baby can look up at. I also like the music. Quite soothing. Not tinny and annoying like a lot of toys (I tend not to buy toys with music for this very reason). There is also 2 volume setting. I would recommend this to anyone. A friend of mine also has it and is very satisfied. The only negative is set-up. My arms hurt to screw everything so I did some one day and some the next. 2 screws needed to fit the base to the part that hold the straps were missing and it was a living hell to find similar screws. A lot of the screws are also in deep tunnels so you need a screwdriver that can handle this. It was all worth it though because baby is happy and we are happy.

she's been playing with this since the moment she got it, she goes around saying "money" and "bank" now, i was told as soon as she woke up the day after getting it, she remembered it immediately and said "money!" which i thought was adorable lol the coins help to teach her colors, it's great for her hand eye coordination , i can already see her improving at getting the coins lined up to go in the slot, the bank has two choices, you can set it on learning time or music time, we've kept it on During training right now, and she fully got the concept of open and close only with this toy, because he says that when you open and close the door, he counts the coins as you put it in a bank, and she names each color as it put them in, we're all very happy with this toy, I highly recommend it!

Grandma bought this for my baby when she was four months old and she loved it right away. At nearly nine months, it is still a favorite! She loves playing with it, especially the compact and the play money. I agree that the keys would be more fun if they were not all molded together, but it is a minor thing. All of the parts have seen HEAVY teething action and are still in great shape. I have also washed these items (not the purse itself, but the others) several times in hot soapy water in the sink, and they come back just fine. As my mother, I love it because it's portable. If we have to go out of town or a playdate or something, easy to pack everything in your wallet and throw it in his bag diaper. When we get there, it has 5 different toys or chew on:) This Sophie Giraffe top two toys in our house.
